The Options Team is on the Move...

We would like to say a 'big' congratulations to Stacey for being named to the Board of Directors of:

We look forward to her participation and making a difference and larger presence within the
senior living industry!
More to come!

Scott was recently appointed as the Treasurer of The National Placement and Referral Alliance - NPRA

Inaugural NPRA Summit - April 2, 2018 - The Arizona Grand
Thank you to those who attended and supported the first NPRA Summit. The significant discussion at the close of the summit was well received by all. This was a great opportunity to promote the mission and initiatives of NPRA.

The information shared by the NPRA Executive Board Members in attendance; Scott Fischer, Chuck Bongiovanni and Michelle Graham was energizing and enlightening. Specifically, addressing the top four initiatives for NPRA:
(1) Families do have rights
(2) Agents for a Fair Market Place
(3) Best Practices
(4) National Certification

It is imperative NPRA, along with our partners, continues to advocate for the clients and remove ‘forced choice’ and move to ‘client choice’ in the senior living industry. We want to serve to preserve. NPRA wants to grow and educate consumers, protect provider assets and encourage professional development. We will be here to serve our members and the senior placement industry.

Why We Do What We Do Each Day...

The Importance of Getting the Right Place for Seniors

Getting the right place for your seniors is all about making them comfortable, safer, have a better living and most importantly, to make them enjoy the rest of their lives.

Senior placement services are now considered to be a competitive business. With different agencies fighting to get the word ‘best’ on their title, they are finding various ways to make a difference from their competitors. But they should not forget the main goal, which is to look for a senior care provider who could give the best care to our seniors. Leave the competition, and focus on what matters.

Here are the different aspects which you can look in to and learn why Options for Senior Living should be your chosen companion.

Scott will also be involved in the process to write the curriculum for the industry CSA certification. Scott is grateful to be on the board of NPRA and to be selected as part of the credentialing team.

The National Placement and Referral Alliance - NPRA has positioned themselves to deliver a program to secure the integrity and accountability in the senior placement industry. The NPRA believes a national certification program falls in line with the standardization of a ‘code of ethics’ and the development of ‘best practices’ for the industry.

NPRA is pleased to announce a partnership with Professional Testing, Inc. - PT to assist in the development of national certification. PT develops, administers and maintains certification examination programs; Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) is one of their programs. Find out more at www.csa.us. The goal is to offer the national certification program by March 1, 2019, with accredited status by October 2021.

The first step in developing certification testing is to conduct a functional job analysis which will be facilitated by PT in Denver, CO from August 2-4, 2018. The NPRA and PT will invite 10-12 industry experts to participate in this critical step in certification development. Once the job analysis is complete, NPRA members will receive a validation survey for review, assessment, and verification.

The NPRA and Board of Directors are excited about this next step and opportunity to evolve the senior placement industry. Contact David Johnson, Executive Director with any questions or input at djohnson@npralliance.org.
