Business is good, but you know what's even better?? I'm going to be a grandpa!! Talk about an exciting, life changing year!
It's experiences like this in life that really put things into perspective, wouldn't you agree? Life is full of ups and downs. Our relationships with friends and family, careers, heck, even our relationship with ourselves travel high and low. Yet, the roller coaster of life always seems to deliver reminders of the bigger purpose of life. Relationships. Love. With others, with ourselves. These two things can be so fleeting, and at the same time run so very deep. They are an integral part of everything we do, in every aspect of our lives. Always.
One of the things I value most about the work I do is not only the relationships I build over time, but also the glimpse I get into the lives of the families I work with. The end stages of life are very revealing. It's powerful and sometimes very intense. And there's no denying that come the end of our time here on earth, the relationships we have built and the love we have shared are the most valuable "assets" we will ever have.
