There's so much to share and I want to let everyone know about a couple of things...The PASRS group started to meet informally back in 2010 and had our first board meeting where we adopted our by-laws in March 2012.  Our consultant group indicated at that time as our association matured and as we found ourselves alongside other professional trade associations, that one day we would have our own conference.  Honestly, I couldn't see it and I wasn't really sure I wanted to take all that on...Well, next Wednesday on October 28th at Glencroft we are hosting our first conference!  We are excited to be stepping into the gap that exists and providing what we think will be a first class event!  We sold out all of our available sponsorships and the interest from the community has been so affirming.  With just a few days left, before the event, we are offering a last minute opportunity to attend at a significant discount but you have to use the code SCOTT50 at checkout.  Our web site is www.pasrs.org...All the details are there.  I will be speaking in the morning to kick off the event and also providing the closing remarks from the day.  I also have the opportunity to lead a breakout session for our friends and colleagues from the assisted living centers who are attending...The topic will be Smooth Transitions From Home to Assisted Living!  As I said, the response from the community has been so encouraging and we know the day will be full of great information and time together addressing the issues that surrounds our senior living industries.

Additionally, I was honored by my friend JR Rittenhouse, who I have come to know the last five years.  She is a private fiduciary serving her clients in Maricopa County and truly one of the leaders in her industry in the state. She is serving this year as the local coordinator for the National Guardians Association and they are having their annual national conference in Mesa this weekend.  I was given the opportunity several months ago to submit an outline for a presentation at one of the breakout sessions and I was selected as the President of PASRS to be a presenter at the conference and share for them.  With over 400 private fiduciaries from all over the country coming in for the event, it will be a great opportunity for me to share and highlight PASRS and the work we are engaged in to promote, educate and advocate for our industry.  My presentation will be this Sunday afternoon.  Both JR and fellow PASRS Board member Stephanie Bivens of the Bivens and Associates Law Firm will be presenting on different topics this weekend as well!  Its really an honor to be included in the event this weekend.  JR has been a presenter at PASRS meetings twice in the past three years and she was on the radio with me last year when we were doing the Planning Past 50 show!  Thank you again JR for the opportunity!
PASRS 2015 is a landmark step in the PASRS Movement that is dedicated to raising the bar on senior residential services in Arizona. With its members, PASRS works to unite like-minded companies by establishing and maintaining professional standards of best ethical business practices for our members, who join us in this cause. By providing continuing education for our members, establishing strategic community partnerships, and serving as a consumer resource, there is no other professional trade association like PASRS in all of Arizona.
