Scott M. Fischer, BSN

A few months ago I received a call from the Arizona Alzheimer's Association asking me to speak at their annual education conference this coming March 11th. This will be my third year to be asked to be a presenter. I am so humbled and always grateful to the Association for trusting me again. This year my breakout session will be directed at non-professionals and specifically family who are caring for their affected loved ones. We will be covering the large topic of transition; both for the caregiver and for the affected one. There are physical transitions through different levels of care that we will discuss; but there are also emotional transitions  and grieving that is a part of this and we will cover these issues as well. The Arizona Alzheimer's Association expects over 600 people to attend the conference this year. I am thrilled to be a part of it individually, for Options for Senior Living and for PASRS as well.
