About Shelly:
Shelly D. Drews, CDP CADDCT

Shelly D. Drews, CDP CADDCT is a passionate Senior Healthcare Professional and Advocate, residing in Arizona. Born in Maryland, her God-given talent of helping people entered her life very early. Shelly’s mother Sharon Lechter (the co-author of “Rich Dad Poor Dad”) further fueled her drive to make a positive impact in the world.

By the age of 16, Shelly officially started helping seniors by volunteering at a local nursing home and she hasn’t looked back ever since. What once started as a passion has turned into her vocation and life purpose.

Throughout the span of over two decades, Shelly has successfully run numerous memory care facilities, a non-medical home health care franchise, as well as owned and operated assisted living care homes. She has been certified through the state to provide caregiving certifications for supervisors through manager levels. Furthermore, Shelly and her family own and operate a security company that creates software and hardware for military bases and government facilities alike. Shelly was the Co-founder of Navigating the Healthcare Puzzle for Dementia and an Aging Population, an initiative which hosted a number of events providing cutting edge information about dementia for industry professionals attracting hundreds of attendees.

Shelly is on a fierce and earnest mission to serve as an advocate for the elderly in her community through education. By educating the families of seniors, she firmly believes that they can become empowered to make informed decisions for their loved ones; important choices that determine their quality of life for years to come. Ultimately, Shelly strives to advocate loving and dignified care for seniors everywhere.

Additionally, Shelly Drews received an MBA in Healthcare Management along with her undergraduate degree in Chemistry and Microbiology at the University of Arizona. She also holds a multitude of certifications, including a Certified Dementia Practitioner(CDP), Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer® (CADDCT), a current Certified Assisted Living Manager license with the Board of Examiners of Nursing Care Institution Administrators and Assisted Living Facility Managers, and a Coaching Certification through Teepa Snow.
